From my scroll: Facebook status of the day 

From one of my FB friends:

U.S Customs is proposing to reverse several determinations ruling that "assisted opening" knives are not switchblades per the Switchblade Knife Act of 1958. If you need to get one through import or interstate commerce, act now. I never understood why Congress was so scared by movies and Broadway shows in the late 50's that they passed the act.

The law is a relic of simpler and, in some respects, more authoritarian times. Something to remember.
