NATO's new policy: Risk-free piracy!

If you did not already think that the law was inadequate for dealing with irregular war, including piracy, this should persuade you that the West is being undone by its lawyers.

Goddamn, what unspeakable stupidity. Any more of this, and the sane people in the world are going to want us to keep Gitmo open.

Don't have to depend on NATO and its "lawyers" to protect cargo and persecute criminals.

Great line by Ed Morrissey in your link to Hot Air, TH:

Sweden was tougher on The Pirate Bay this week than NATO was on actual pirates.See Pirate Bay (the Internet site) story, and the number of Swedes who are upset abvout the conviction. That's how you get Euros riled up, start taking away their free entertainment!

Well, I'm sure that move made Jimmy Carter proud!

IF we are going to play with Pirates the same way we deal with Bass fishing, we should at least be able to Tag and Release the animals.

The poor boys must still be shaking in their boots...with laughter!

There is a plus side to this, small as it may be. Somali pirates should know by now that if they are confronted by armed force, they have two choices.
1. Resist and get shot. In the head. By SEALS.
2. Dont resist and go home.

Rats are most dangerous when cornered.

As I have said before, you'd think it would be a good idea to have all this legal stuff ironed out before you got underway to take on the pirates.
