Testimony: "Sarah Palin's a brainiac"

The former editor-in-chief of Ms. magazine spends time with Sarah Palin and comes away impressed. If you have a lot of liberal friends, I guarantee that you will drive them insane if you send them the link.

The feminist movement shot itself in the foot when it backed Bill Clinton after his affair with Monica. It shot off the other foot when it generally reacted with disgust with Gov. Sarah Palin. The next time I meet someone who's major is "Woman's Studies" or something like that it will be difficult to keep from laughing out loud.

I have blogged on this. According to Sitemeter, some of my liberal friends have already read it. I await some very entertaining by-play the next time we meet for pints (quite a few, I hope).

Someone who works for the McCain campaign has nice things to say about Sara Palin? The phrase "dog bites man" comes to mind.

"For the sin of being a Christian"..

"Yes, she is anti-abortion. And yes, instead of buying organic New Zealand lamb at Whole Foods, she joins other Alaskans in hunting for food."

Buying organic lamb at Whole foods? Yes anyone who thinks Palin sucks is obviously some pathetic latte drinking hippie.

I have a feeling Lafferty already had this half written before she ever met with Palin.

I found the piece weak on examples of her smarts, while it described her style of thinking in ways that certainly sound smart. I would have liked to have specific, tangible examples of that sharp mind in action, not because I have any doubt about her intelligence, but because the premise of the article required that level of detail. Instead, it misdirected attention back to those who have never been on a plane for a few brief hours with Governor Palin. Less of that, more of substance, would have served the argument better.
