Obama's plans for indentured servitude are wide-ranging. Is this a naked play for the boomer/parent vote? Put those whipper-snappers to work!

Definently an opening for a whole slew of patronage jobs. Who is going to manage all these different "corps" that he plans? Not the "volunteers". They will be managed by a slew of new "paid" professionals entering government.

Fascism? I don't think it will come to that. But all this coerced "public service" ain't gonna go down too well with a lot of people. If he REALLY means this, and the Democratic Party goes along, (as the Volokh folks think, as does the linked articles on Obama's web site), this could be the undoing of the Democratic Party, in major way. Four years of this will really make people revolt.

As they say in Knoxville, Tn., "heh".
