The right nation

A commenter in the "British press" post below recommended the book The Right Nation: Conservative Power in America by John Micklethwait and Adrian Wooldridge. I could not agree more. I recommended it on this blog three years ago as the best book I had read on American politics, and it remains so. The September of a presidential election year is a perfect time to read it.

Caveat: I've never read the book, I just make a habit of looking at both good and poor reviews before determining upon a purchase.

Completely aside, did anyone else hear that the son of Hamas founder Hassan Yousef converted to Christianity? Ah sweet irony.

Honest conversion or taqiyya? Undermining the institution from within is a time-tested strategy. Note the phrase "fed up with the approach". That's a far cry from "fed up with the goal".
