Two wrongs do not make a right: Certain Republicans are idiots

I'm referring specifically to the Republicans, if that is what they in fact are, who are alleged to be spreading stories about one of Joe Biden's daughters. It is not in the same league as the stuff said about the Palins, but it is idiotic nonetheless. Clue up, team.

I doubt if any Party Defined Republican is involved in this kind of garbage, although that is not impossible. Both sides have their nutcases who have neither the judgment or political savvy to understand what legitimate campaigning is all about.

Not to be a jerk, but didn't you just, in a sense, do the same thing? But you did it with a layer of detachment.

I don't care what Biden's daughters did or didn't do. Their dad says crazy things (like 7 years ago tomorrow, when he said that we should give $200mil to Iran?). That's all you need to know.

Saw this, too, but can't help noticing it's the only place I've seen it.

What possible advantage could be gained by circulating such a dull little story? A college student being stupid outside a bar? That's it? Why bother.

Besides, there is a difference between a documented incident involving an adult and the police and the kinds of rumors that were spread so maliciously about Palin and her underage daughter.

This is just a puff of wind.

"Republican sources have been circulating..."

This is too vague to be believable. It may come from the Democrats, trying to escape the backlash after their attacks on Palin's family: "See the Republicans do it, too."

The Swamp is hosted by The Chicago Tribune, the newspaper that printed the famous "Dewey Defeats Truman" headline in 1948.

DEC could very well be right. I any event, the Chicago Tribune is being stupid by no name the "Republican source...". It could very well be another one of those "life long Republicans" who has voted for Democrats in 12 of the last 12 elections.

This story and the others that will see in the near future are published and spread by democrats. And, there is a juicy one about Biden just under the surface.
What is it? How the hell would I know; do I look like a democrat.
The point is that Obama's masters recognize what a terrible mistake Biden's selection was. They can't undo it without an incident that allows Obama to say, "If I had known that, I never would have selected Biden."
Biden could withdraw and be replaced by some one who might make a believable "change" argument. Biden would then go back to the Senate making big bucks from lobbyists.
Just think, Biden was selected only to counter the "celebrity" label that got Obama to the top in the first place. Were I Obama, I'd replace Biden with some young show business type who was a celebrity.

I'd bet money this is merely the Trib trying to bring the GOP to Obama's level.
