Snark disguised as hope

Gustav bearing down on the Gulf coast, the A.P. says that Barack Obama wants us to "hope lessons of Katrina were learned" (grammarians will notice that he actually said "hopefully we've learned from that tragedy," which does not mean quite the same thing).

For all that he and other Democrats have spun Katrina into a partisan issue, Barack Obama had better hope that the federal and state bureaucracies run like a friggin' Swiss watch if and when his administration confronts a catastrophe.

Heavy is the crown... I can't wait to hear, "President Obama doesn't care about black people."

Well, bet you a dime he doesn't mention Ray Nagin's brown city if things go fare so well.

The locals don't call Memphis Memfrica for nothing these days. Trainloads more of NOLA's finest on the way to kick up the crime stats a bit more.

Anyone who stays when there's a Cat 4 coming deserves whatever comes to them. And this time, they can't pretend they didn't understand the risks.

It must be a sad day on the "Katrina Victim's" calender. With a new hurricane blowing through, and a COMPETENT MAN in the governer's mansion in Louisiana...it will be harder for them to make their victimhood a lifetime pursuit.

If the residents of New Orlean's "learned the lessons" of katrina, Nagin would not have been able to run for dog catcher...much less be the current mayor.

I wonder if the school bus parking lot is still full...

Why? No matter how badly Hussein's administration might do anything, who's going to make an issue of it?
