Greenwashing at the BBC

Bloghounds know that the BBC has rewritten a story about this year's cooler global temperatures to accomodate objections from a climate change activist. Anthony Watts has a must-see flashing gif -- a tried and true tradition in the blogosphere -- that reveals the greenwashing of the original story. Note that the activist-induced changes were not factual; they had to do only with the impression conveyed.

I, for one, am delighted to know that the BBC will rewrite stories in response to objections from a single blogger. It gives me a whole new purpose in life.
