Walking in Herrontown Woods

Princeton has a Hundred Acre Wood of its own, the Herrontown Woods. Even though it is the best woodland walking around, it is big enough that you rarely see anybody else. I took the Spaniels there for a nice long leashless walk this afternoon and took some pictures of the flowers along the pipeline right of way that cuts through the park.

I am not a particularly good photographer, but this camera pumps out impressive pictures no matter how klutzy you are. It really is remarkable.

Those are fine pictures. I especially like the one of the dog. Just to let you know, I just ordered the camera from Amazon. You should get a kickback. I've been wanting to get a new camera, but my eyes glaze over at all the tech description, so I'm too lazy to do research. Your recommendation is all I needed. Thanks.

To echo Aunt Mary a bit, more photos of the Spaniels, please. By the way, were you violating leash laws in the township where the Herrontown Woods are (Princeton Township?)? I am generally looking for places where it is permissible (or for that matter, practicable even if illegal) to run dogs off leash.

I am aware of no exception to the Township leash laws that permits Julie and Penny to run free in Herrontown, but I've decided to eat the enforcement risk. First, they are pretty well trained and come when called. Second, it is rare that I see more than one other hiker in the woods when I go, so I'm not running a big risk of irritating anti-dog people. Third, even the vast Princeton Township police force probably has better things to do than staking out the trails in Herrontown Woods.

So I think it is "practicable even if illegal."
