The Victory Caucus needs your help

If you support continuing the mission in Iraq, go here to sign the Victory Caucus' online petition. And, for Labor Day weekend fun, come back to the comments here and explain why you do or do not agree with the petition.

I agree with every point the petition states because 1) Mama didn't raise no fool; 2) my desire for self-preservation has become highly developed in my 52 years; 3) I hate for innocents to suffer at the hands of bloodthirsty vermin, even if it's halfway across the world.

I hate to be a wet blanket, but this is silly.

We're not some tiny cult loyally defending our Cause. We, as Americans, are the Cause. I would suggest leaving this kind of stuff to the outcasts who need to prove to each other that they're one thousand, two thousand, three thousand strong!

Wow.

Oh, wait, this just in:

NEWS FLASH (AP): RECENT ONLINE SURVEY SHOWS THAT ONLY 0.0000038% OF BLOG READERS SUPPORT IRAQ WAR

Washington -- A recent online survey appears to have popped the balloon that a number of blog readers support the war in Iraq. Out of an estimated 20 million readers, only 4,143 voted in support of the war.

"The people have spoken," said John Dodson, organizer of the survey. "There's no question that 0.0000038% has 'fringe group' written all over it."

When contacted at his office, Senator Ted Kennedy was quick to defend the tiny minority of war supporters. "This is America," he said, "where every man, woman and child is entitled to his or her opinion, no matter how costly or misguided."

"This is also why we need to reimplement the Fairness Doctrine," he continued. "Without fairness of the airwaves, these tiny fringe groups have no voice in government, and that's why, today, I'm introducing Legislative Act #754-B that will protect their rights, once and for all."

Given that elements of both liberal and conservative groups have now been affected by unchecked media bias, the bill is expected to receive bipartisan support in Congress.
