Resolve

Cassandra, writing in her own house, stiffens all our spines and considers the prospects for Western civilization.

There's quite a point on that pen. Read the whole thing.

I keep forgetting how sharp you are.

So much for fulminating in dusty corners... :)

There are always footprints in the blogosphere, Grasshopper...

The way I figure it, Argghhh!'s jet was the last straw. :)

I seem to be taken by surprise by a lot of things, lately.

I think my middle name should have been 'overcome by events'.

Kinsley has been kind of interesting since just before he left the LA Times. I always thought the guys was smart. Now that he is over at the WaPo, I find I often agree with at least part of his essays - we at least start off at the same place, even if we reason ourselves to a different conclusion at times, as happened in this case.

I was with him for 2/3 of the piece and then he did a Saudi Sweep and lost me. But that's OK. We don't have to agree on everything - often his assessment of the facts may differ from mine but I can accept that. He is rational and there is enough common ground for some dialogue.
