Discrimination Against Veterans on Columbia University Campus

A Reader emailed me this story from the Columbia Spectator about an appalling incident which the University apparently has ignored.

It is notable because it exhibits two hypocrisies emanating from the most deranged part of the left - one, that they "support the troops"; and two, that they value the notion of freedom of speech, or association...or freedom at all. Sadly, it should surprise nobody to see this crap at a University, least of all Columbia. What is a pathetic and sad surprise is the complete disregard the University Administration has for circumstances of the veteran. They are supposed to be adults, and instead they act like the teenagers they are supposed to oversee.

What a swamp.

This is what's wrong with the whole idea of protected classes of people. Some classes end up being protected and some... well, some it's OK to push around as much as you want. It's a bizarre mindset that I've never really understood.

Criminalize the behavior, don't set aside groups of people and say, 'you can treat these people this way and those that way'. That's just ridiculous.
