Hawkeyes win! Hawkeyes win!
Iowa snatches victory from the jaws of defeat to beat defending National Champion LSU in the Capital One Bowl, 30-25. Drew Tate threw a 55-yard touchdown pass on the last play of the game. Unbelievable. Iowa wins and an Instalanche all in one day! Can life get any better? I submit that it cannot!
UPDATE: ABC Sports has really had a great day. The Rose Bowl was also decided on the last play of the game, this time against the Big Ten. Texas kicked a field goal to beat the Michigan Wolverines 37-35.
Friends of TigerHawk know that I grew up in Iowa City, and cannot shake my childhood love of the Hawkeyes. But I went to law school in Ann Arbor, and pull for the Wolverines whenever rooting for same does not hurt Iowa's interests. Either way, though, ABC was a huge winner with two extremely good bowl games this afternoon.

Rooted hard and happily for the Hawkeyes (how did that guy get so open???), then had the air let out by the Wolverines. They always have had a hard time aginst highly mobile opposing QB's. Two great games.
