The academy looks at blogging
Bitch Ph.D. reports that the academic journal Reconstruction is calling for papers "for a special theme issue on 'blogging'". Yes. The scare quotes are in the original, which may or may not say something about how comfortable the journal's editors may be with the "blogosphere."
Anyway, if you're looking for some respectability in the academic world or merely trying to pump up the publications list in advance of that last push for tenure, this seems like a path to that sort of glory. The deadline for submissions is June 1, 2005.
