I can't for the life of me understand why anyone listens to Krugman anymore. Even if you agree with his politics, he's become so recklessly self-contradictory and plays so loose with his 'facts' that he is honest to God unreliable. No matter what his past accomplishments, he is now just a propaganda mouthpiece. Sad.

I'd have to quibble on your use of the words "ugly beating." Seeing as how this was Krugman, that sort of "beating" was richly deserved, and there was nothing in the least ugly about it!
