Bill Whittle on the A-bomb
On Pajamas TV, Bill Whittle has a lengthy and fact-filled piece on the use of the A-bomb to end WWII, and a scathing rebuttal to Jon Stewart, who has walked back his affirmative response to the question of whether President Truman was a "war criminal."
Even if you have tired of this debate, it is worth viewing as a refresher course on the day-by-day history of the last weeks of the war.

While I'm glad you're dispensing "news" on the Goebbels...er...Pajamas Media TV network, here's a blast from the past--back when there were real journalists out there:
Here's a Harry S. Truman sidebar: Barack Obama may have plagiarized him. On Edward R Murrow's old radio show "This I Believe," HST stated that the US should never use the "methods" of "our enemies" to fight our enemies, no matter the justification. Interesting, eh?
By Escort81, at Mon May 04, 07:07:00 PM:
Well, Christopher, if even uber-good guy Mace Windu (well portrayed by Samuel L. Jackson, who can bring the bad-ass, especially in Tarantino movies) attempts to go "extra-legal" under exceptional circumstances in his final scene in Star Wars III, then I'm cool with it, I guess:
MACE WINDU: In the name of the Galactic Senate of the Republic, you are under arrest, Chancellor.
MACE WINDU and the other JEDI ignite their lightsabers.
PALPATINE: Are you threatening me, Master Jedi?
MACE: The Senate will decide your fate.
PALPATINE: (burst of anger) I am the Senate!
MACE: Not yet!
PALPATINE stands, a laser sword appears out of his cloak sleeve, and he spins toward the JEDI.
PALPATINE: It's treason, then.
A close shot of PALPATINE as the fight begins. Close shots of THREE JEDI getting cut down by PALPATINE. PALPATINE and MACE continue to fight.
Jedi Master MACE WINDU and the Sith Lord fight their way down the hallway and into the main office area. PALPATINE is able to use the Force to slam MACE against the wall, but he recovers before the Chancellor can cut him down.
ANAKIN lands his speeder, jumps out, and runs down a long corridor toward the Chancellor's office.
In the heat of battle, MACE cuts the window behind the Chancellor's desk, and it crashes away. MACE is forced out onto the ledge, which is twenty stories up. They fight over the precipice. ANAKIN arrives to see PALPATINE and MACE fighting.
They stop as MACE forces PALPATINE to drop his sword. PALPATINE and MACE start yelling at each other.
MACE WINDU: You are under arrest, My Lord.
PALPATINE: Anakin! I told you it would come to this. I was right. The Jedi are taking over.
MACE WlNDU: You old fool. The oppression of the Sith will never return. Your plot to regain control of the Republic is over . . . you have lost . . .
PALPATINE: No! No! You will die!
PALPATINE raises his hands, and lightning bolts shoot out. They are blocked by MACE's lightsaber. PALPATINE is pushed back against the window sill.
PALPATINE: He is a traitor, Anakin.
MACE WlNDU: He's the traitor. Stop him!
PALPATINE: Come to your senses, boy. The Jedi are in revolt. They will betray you, just as they betrayed me.
MACE WlNDU: Aarrrrggghhhhh . . .
PALPATINE: You are not one of them, Anakin. Don't let him kill me.
MACE WlNDU: Aarrrrggghhhhh . . .
PALPATINE: I am your pathway to power. I have the power to save the one you love. You must choose. You must stop him.
MACE WlNDU: Don't listen to him, Anakin.
PALPATINE: Help me! Don't let him kill me. I can't hold on any longer. Ahhhhhhh . . . ahhhhhhh . . . ahhhhhhh . . .
MACE pushes PALPATINE out to the edge of the ledge. As the Jedi moves closer, the bolts from Palpatine's hands begin to arch back on him. The Chancellor's face begins to twist and distort. His eyes become yellow as he struggles to intensify his powers.
PALPATINE: I can't ... I give up. Help me. I am weak ... I am too weak. Don't kill me. I give up. I'm dying. I can't hold on any longer.
MACE WlNDU: You Sith disease. I am going to end this once and for all.
ANAKIN: You can't kill him, Master. He must stand trial.
MACE WlNDU: He has too much control of the Senate and the Courts. He is too dangerous to be kept alive.
PALPATINE: I'm too weak. Don't kill me. Please.
ANAKIN: It is not the Jedi way . . .
MACE raises his sword to kill the CHANCELLOR.
ANAKIN: (continuing) He must live . . .
PALPATINE: Please don't, please don't . . .
ANAKIN: I need him . . .
PALPATINE: Please don't . . .
ANAKIN: NO!!!
Just as MACE is about to slash PALPATINE, ANAKIN steps in and cuts off the Jedi's hand holding the lightsaber.
As MACE stares at ANAKIN in shock, PALPATINE springs to life.
The full force of Palpatine's powerful Bolts blasts MACE. He attempts to deflect them with his one good hand, but the force is too great. As blue rays engulf his body, he is flung out the window and falls twenty stories to his death. No more screams. No more moans. PALPATINE lowers his arm.
PALPATINE: Power! Unlimited power!
His face has changed into a horrible mask of evil. ANAKIN looks on in horror. PALPATINE cackles.
ANAKIN: What have I done?

, atWe did indeed not use our enemy's methods. Theirs were far too labor intensive, and pre-industrial, and puny, slicing off the heads of bound prisoners one by one, and the like. We employed stagecraft this particular enemy could only dream of. We killed a hundred thousand of this enemy on one night, in one raid, with napalm and conventional explosives. Then we dropped an atom bomb on this enemy, proving that with one airplane we could produce the same horror that had previously required 300. Then we did it again. Truman later said some civilized things, because he could afford to. And, bless him: it was his job to afford to. That's the same job every president holds, even the one we have now.

Erik von Kuenhelt-Leddihn reported that the Japanese asked for surrender terms thru their embassy in Australia I believe.
The same terms were delivered to the Germans way earlier. Unconditional surrender.
Upon the asking for peace, hostilities should have ceased. But that was not the case for the overriding agenda was not the end of hostilities but OCCUPATION and the destruction of both their cultures and peoples thru Americanization.
There was no need to drop the bomb, the Japanese were ready to surrender. But since America is a democracy---all democracies fight to wipe the other out.
It was bad morally and ethically to drop the bomb on civilians. Was it coincidence that the two cities bombed were the only ones to have sizeable Catholic populations in them?
No, it was totally immoral.
In a side note, the Allies never gave the German Aristocracy any chance or assurance in their help to assassinate Hitler. The Allies had no intention of ending the war without Unconditional Surrender---unheard of in recent European warfare. It was about total destruction; it was about occupation. The unconditional surrender terms caused more Germans to fight, caused them to fight harder and caused much more death and destruction.
WWII was a war between socialists, the International Socialism of Russia and the Fabian Socialism of America and Britain against National Socialism of Germany and Italy; Fabian socialism being a cousin of International Socialism.
There is total shame on America for dropping bombs not only on civilians but also on the only two Catholic communities of Japan.
The Vulgar Class really has no class, no logic and no morality to boot.
In note #1181, pg 492, of Leftism Revisited, Von Kuenhelt-Leddihn, about dropping the atom bomb, wrote:
"General Eisenhower, too, opposed this ghastly deed. The opposition among scientists was considerable. Cf. Daniel F. Boorstin, The American Democratic Experience, (New York: Random House, 1973), 588-589. The argument that the bomb was really humane because it shorted the war is worthless: Japan had TWICE--via the Vatican and Moscow---desperately tried to get humanly acceptable armistice conditions. All they received was the nefarious Unconditional Surrender formula".
As a Christian, I find this abhorent.
Franklin Delano Roosevelt purposely instigated and pressured the Japanese to attack Pearl Harbor so he could declare war on Germany. Franklin Roosevelt was surrounded by advisors who were communist or communist fellow-travellers aka Alger Hiss.
The purpose of the war was to destroy ethno-nationalism and ensconce International Socialism/Globalization upon the world and establish the redux League of Nations as the United Nations.
American men died to implement Fabian Socialism.
Those who opposed the usage of nuclear weapons were wrong. Total Unconditional surrender was a proper and reasonable demand after our fellow Americans were slaughtered in my home island of Oahu.
When a stranger rapes and tortures your mother to death, you will demand that man and his entire family to suffer 1000x.
Japan's actions utterly ruined 1/2 of my family, those unfortunate to not run fast enough from the rape and torture gangs rampaging through China, Burma, Singapore/Malaya. Some of my family were forced into slave labor, impressed into the Japanese army as cannon fodder and some were tortured beyond belief.
When you see and hear such stories from your own family, you will swear eternal revenge and no amount of apology will ever stop the pain until death finally overtakes you.
It is a society's job to protect its people. There isn't a price too large or an act so repugnant that it shouldn't consider using against the enemy.
Nuclear weapons cause far less damage than the occupation of Korea, China, SE Asia did to those people. The flash and burn of 2 nuclear bombs only affected a few hundred thousand. Millions more suffered 1000x greater and longer and their effect still linger in the bodies of survivors.
When you decide for war, be prepared to do everything to win because it isn't a game where the loser just goes home and cries, but you family and yourself will be enslaved. This isn't stories from 100 BC but only 60 years ago. This will happen again and America must never dismiss our nuclear and overwhelming force to crush our enemies and ensure our safety.
Amen Koolau, you said far better what I intended ... there is no fair in war. One side wins, one side loses. The kind words and thoughts of guilt go with being a Statesman, and in trying to talk down cold war, and preparation to not wind up on the receiving end of the US onslaught.
What the Japanese did in the Pacific challenges the Russians and Germans for barbarity. No armchair quarterbacking by pacifists or pseudo-intellectuals can dismiss the reality of what it meant to be on the front lines then or now. The Japanese deserved everything they got. Had we been able to engage in the Pacific sooner (after our little 'distraction' fighting a war that wasn't ours in Europe), we might have saved a few hundred thousand US lives in Europe, many in the Pacific Theatre, and who knows how many non-US lives there as well.
I hate the thought that we have a weak POTUS and Congress, and fear that we've been made more vulnerable. I certainly hope enough infrastructure exists to continue to keep us safe until we can get this clown out of office. If not, maybe a next event should it happen will wake some people up.

P.S.
From time to time The Japan Times runs interviews with firsthand witnesses of Japan's "march to war and crushing defeat."
You can find most of the articles here:
http://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/special_news.html
Enemy life has zero value, that is why they are the enemy. If the enemy values the life of their citizens then its incumbent on them to surrender no matter the terms. That fact that it took this much destruction to induce them to surrender speaks of the barbarism of the enemy and rightness of the destruction.
The Germans deserved what they got. The Army that swore a personal allegiance to Adolph Hitler is entirely is entirely responsible for the destruction of Germany. They should have risen against him and executed him and all the senior Nazi's when the allies were receptive to a negotiated settlement but they did not. The Allies were proven right to crush them utterly. They will never rise again and be a threat.
The Japanese were no different. They were ready to fight to the death, there was even an attempted coup attempt by a group of Army officers to abort the surrender, this after two atomic bombings. What convinced the Emperor to surrender was the fate of not only more atomic bombings but that what was left would be occupied in large part by Stalin. That is why they surrendered. The Japanese knew where the Allied invasion beaches were and hoarded nearly six thousand planes for kamikaze attacks and nearly one million troops to counter attack on the invasion beaches. Truman was right. One of our soldier's life is worth more than a million dead enemy. A Commander In Chief should value the lives of his troops and not concern themselves with the lives of the enemies troops or civilians.
Hiroshima and Nagasaki were targets of opportunity by virtue of being largely intact as they were up to that point low priority targets. They were chosen to demonstrate to the enemy the power that they were facing. Dresden for the same reason. Its called using a two by four to get a mule's attention.
The Germans were responsible for starting three major wars in less than seventy years and committed unspeakable barbarism. They received far less than what they deserved and the same for the Japanese.
I have no love for FDR, I believe that he was ultimately terrible for the USA but to accuse him of treason is beyond the the pale.
WLindsayWheeler, at Mon May 04, 09:30:00 PM: Your sir are despicable to imply that and to show sympathy for the enemy. The German aristocrats loved Hitler when they were winning and cared nothing for the savagery committed by the Germans while they were winning. Only when the German Army was handed defeat after defeat did they change their mind, out self preservation not for any moral reason. Shame on you for holding water for that scum. In retrospect Churchill was right, he advocated summary execution for all the Nazi's in the German Army down to the NCO level and all Nazi's in the German government down to the mid level functionaries and all those involved in the German's mass killings of Allied civilians. Had that been done and the equivalent to the Japanese not only would rough justice have been done but it would have set an example to all of our enemies from then forward to never attack the US in any manner whatsoever. Even Muslims are not so dense to absorb such a cautionary tale nor would the communist have been so brazen in the forties through the eighties.
Cubanbob wrote:
"Enemy life has zero value"
Very wrong---unless you take moral lessons from the Jews. What you write Cubanbob is Jewish morality, not Christian. That is not the standard for Western Culture or Civilization. Since America is a Marxist nation, it is no wonder that your morality is Jewish.
Western Culture is "When Quarter is asked---Quarter is given". Barbarians run around killing everything in sight for they have no self-control. Your statement exhibits such.
Obviously, we haven't lived in Western Culture for a long time.
Second. When the Spartans finally defeated the Athenians, the Corinthians and other allies asked that Athens be destroyed utterly.
The Spartans refused. Magnanimity is a Virtue. But sadly America is a land devoid of Virtue.
Dear Cubanbob, when is it the standard of Christendom, of Western Culture, THAT CIVILIANS are targeted for mass destruction? When Mr. Bob? Are you a moral teacher? What training do you have? Your defense of bombing of Nagasaki, Hiroshima, the firebombing of Dresden and Tokyo is totally absurd. The beast and animal instincts that you portray Mr. Bob are truly scandalous. No wonder that Western Culture is dead. Who taught you your ethics, Cubanbob?
As for WWI, it was caused by TWO LEFTISTS, TWO ANARCHISTS, that precisely wanted to start a war. So NO Germany did not start WWI and Germany was the LAST to mobilize. If, Cuban Bob, Germany was the last to mobilize----How could she have started the war?
Socrates said "The unexamined life is not worth living". It seems Mr. Bob that you accept war and Allied propaganda as the Truth; Truth being "A faithful representation of reality". It seems you lack some historical knowledge. Russia conducted FULL mobilization, would not stop her mobilization and would not curtail her mobilization. Who started WWI, Anarchists did in order to destroy Europe which was accomplished.
Second, As Pat Buchanan so beautifully illustrated WWII was The Unnecessary War. The British War guarantee to Poland, a creation of WWI, which she could NOT guarantee, gave the Poles False hope and false assurances. Their refusal for the Corridor and a plebiscite for Danzig---started WWII.
But those were all instigated by Socialists everywhere. They wanted War. They needed War. They needed war to destroy what was left of the Old Order so they could build their Novus Ordo on the ruins of Europe.
And please oh so tell me how that is going for you all.
And Jesus Christ said, "I desire Mercy".
Where did mercy go? What happened to this quintessential value of Western Culture?
The Church is the Body of Christ. The two atom bombs were just coincidently dropped on the only two Catholic communities of Japan.
Oh no, that is how evil works--just like how the Christian Orthodox communities in Iraq are now destroyed.
Does a Christian nation wipe out fellow Christians? Or does Evil wipe out Christian communities? Is the House divided against itself or are we deceived about the House we are living in?

"the Japanese were ready to surrender."
Did you even watch the video?
No, of course not. Because if you had, you'd have seen that that is complete horse-shit.
"Their refusal for the Corridor and a plebiscite for Danzig---started WWII."
Funny. It was my understanding that the joint German/Soviet invasion of Poland is what started World War II. Hmm.
I did watch the video. (By the way You Tube technology is way better than PJ technology. The thing stopped every minute to reboot. You tube lets you go back and let the boot up process catch up.)
Bill Whittle's defense of the dropping of the bomb is really shallow, sixth-graderish, and amateurish.
That after the firebombing, the Japanese did want to surrender. I just posted that the Japanese did want to surrender so Mr. Whittle is lying. Furthermore, Bill Whittle proves my point. I mean Bill Whittle gives it away. He reads the pamphlets. The leaflets dropped over these cities told the Japanese that "They will have a better life" under the American occupation. The purpose of UNCONDITIONAL Surrender was that Americans under their Masonic ideology of Democracy was going to "liberate" the Japanese from their traditional life. That the Americans were in the "transforming business" of their Messianic Masonic mission.
The Leaflets prove why UnConditional Surrender was pushed on the Japanese---So sanctimonious Americans can impose a NOVUS ORDO on Japan!!!!
Bill Whittle then goes into a sentimental defense using his father.
Bullshit.
If America answered and HONORABLY negotiated a surrender that need not include occupation---his Father need not go to Japan! Bill Whittle's excuse is blatantly FAlSE. He said the Japanese never asked for surrender---That is blatantly false!
There was no need to drop the bombs.
But America is really chickenshit. They wanted to invade Japan. They used the chickenshit approach of vaporizing civilians instead of Manly attacking the shores. If America did not want to invade because of the high cost of human lives----then it should have come to terms with Japan to cease hostilities! America is NOT Honest. It did NOT want to do (occupy) by honorable means, by fighting for it, but took the easy and despicable way by vaporizing civilians and two Catholic communities.
America was about "globalizing", democratizing Japan to fit it for the Masonic Novus Ordo. The pamplet proves as much! This war was not a "fight" but an ideological war to destroy the Old Order in both East and West.
America is a socialist nation which uses its military might to impose the Masonic idea of egalitarianism and democracy.
Again, Bill Whittle is just like the MSM when he fudges the facts! The Japanese DID give warning of attack and did not let the Admiral in charge of Pearl Harbor know of it! They purposely slowed down the translation of the document. President Roosevelt sat on the document!
""On July 25 Roosevelt froze all Japanese assets in the United States and imposed an oil embargo. From that moment on Japan faced an existential threat from the United States, a threat that could not be averted by peaceful means short of abdicating its status as a great power and visibly losing face – an utter impossibility."""
""The evidence on FDR maneuvring Japan into war, available for decades, was semi-definitively presented in Robert Stinnett’s “Day of Deceit” (1999). The evidence of his foreknowledge of the attack itself appears equally convincing in three respects: denial of intelligence to the Navy; misleading its commanders, in the final two weeks before the attack, into thinking negotiations with Japan were continuing; and keeping them misinformed about the location of the Japanese carrier fleet."" Quotes taken from Misallocated InfamyIt is called "Bear Baiting". And this what goes on in International Politics. This country engaged in bear baiting with the Oil embargo against Japan, a country with NO natural resources of energy. Roosevelt forced the hand of the Japanese thru his political shennanigans. He wanted war. Hitler had no power to project force but the Japanese did. Roosevelt needed the Japanese to attack the US. The Admiral wanted to take the battleships out of Pearl Harbor and put them in San Diego. Roosevelt countermanded his own Admiral. But somehow, the aircraft carriers were not in Pearl Harbor---only old battleships. Roosevelt used Pearl Harbor as bait.
You need to read up on Cordell Hull, the "Father of the United Nations". It is all this Masonic devil worship of Peace.
"""A new book entitled The Pearl Harbor Myth: Rethinking the Unthinkable by George Victor and published by Potomac Books Inc. of Washington, D.C. is well researched and gives a very clear picture of how and why the Pearl Harbor myth was created. This "patriotic political myth" states that the attack by the Japanese was unprovoked and was a surprise to the Roosevelt administration, as well as, the key military personnel in Washington; but the commanders of Pearl Harbor were at fault for not being ready. Based on a good summary of the up-to-date research the author, who is an approving admirer of Roosevelt, concludes that Roosevelt deliberately provoked the attack and that he and his key military and administrative advisers clearly knew, well in advance, that the Japanese were going to attack both Pearl Harbor and the Philippines.""" Quote taken from FDR, Pearl Harbor and the U.N.Bill Whittle's attempt is feeble. He is a political hack. Just another clueless dumb American.
In the previous post, I meant to write, "The Japanese DID give warning of attack and the American government did not let the Admiral in charge of Pearl Harbor know of it!"
The Unconditional Surrender of WWII stems from "American Exceptionalism" and Fabian Socialism.
It is about "Fixing the World"; American Exceptionalism is this messianic mission that America is this city on a hill and that its duty is to spread its Americanism throughout the world. It is a product of fundamentalist anti-clerical protestant Puritainism. As Erik von Kuenhelt-Leddihn traces the foundations of socialism in Protestantism.
The effects of this can be seen in WWI, where President Woodrow Wilson in cahoots with Colonel House and Bernard Baruch demanded that the monarchies of Europe be dismantled and democracy put in its place. Woodrow Wilson declared, "Conformity will be the only virtue. And every man who refuses to conform will have to pay the penalty." (Liberty or Equality, pg 293) Everything will be conformed to the American paradigm.
The same for WWII.
The same for Serbs, Airwar of 1999.
And for Iraq. To understand here is a talk given by Bacevich about American Exceptionalism and that the purpose of the Iraq war was to "Americanize" the Middle East! This was the purpose of America going to wars in the 20th and 21st centuries. Here is his talk, The End of American Exceptionalism.
The point of Unconditional Surrender particularly of Japan was to Occupy and dethrone the Emperor. It was about transforming Japanese culture to bring it up to American standards. There was NO need to invade Japan under """normal"""" circumstances. The Japanese were ready to concede defeat BUT not occupation and the destruction of their way of life. But America wanted just that---and so it vaporized civilians for the sake of some Messianic Socialist Utopia of globalization.
That is totally immoral and unethical. Masonry, Protestantism, and Socialism or Marxism have all the same roots. They are all cloaks/puppets of a driving force. They are interchangeable; they are all tools to accomplish one purpose, utopia under one world government.
Lifted from Justin Raimondo's article at Antiwar.com, from "Jon Stewart: Wimp, Wuss, Moral Coward":

Truman’s decision went against the advice of Generals Douglas MacArthur and Dwight David Eisenhower, not to mention his own secretaries of state and the Navy.
