McCain vs. Obama on Eay
Somebody is bothering to track and compare sales of Obama and McCain kitsch on Ebay in a time series. There are still more sales of Obama stuff, but the gap has closed rather dramatically.

When these values become identical or nearly so, it will be a very, very bad day for the Obama team.
A huge percentage of Obama supporters think nothing of wearing T-shirts, sporting bumper stickers on their cars, or posting lawn signs outside their homes. They do so with a herd mentality. Wanting to be one of the cool members of the group. They do so without even thinking about the policies espoused by and practiced by The One. (When some do get around to realizing what the eff is going on, they actually quietly take their signs down and consign the T-shirt to the rag bag.)
The McCain supporters have been quietly looking at the issues and making up their minds. They haven't put the signs on their lawn or bumper stickers on their cars beacuse they have seen the fanatical actions of the O-team and, rightly or wrongly, fear damage to their property.
As things have tightened with the arrival of Governor Palin, the McCain supporters have become more vocal and more outgoing in their support, but they will never wear their hearts on their sleeves, so to speak.
And, with Gov. Palin's arrival on the scene, there has been more and more panic and..well, idiocy from Obama's supporters as well as many defections.
