The editors of the front page of the New York Times give us the hilarious headline of the week:
Gay Couples Find Marriage Is a Mixed Bag
And here I thought that gay marriage would be unalloyed in its bliss.

I'm waiting for the Frank Rich column where he argues that recognizing gay marriage was an attempt by the Christian Right to force gay people into oppressive traditional institutions so that they can be more easily controlled.

I once worked with a gay guy who told me the best thing about being gay was that your mother never asked you when were you getting married.

The important thing now will be to change the definition of marriage so that it no longer mentions commitment.
