Only if it comes with torpedos.

Tigerhawk, trust me, it's much more fun to be above the surface of the water than below, especially when things go wrong, as they often do at sea.

Why not look at something like this instead? Even Dr. Evil would like that dining area! You don't have to use the engine very much, so even Al Gore might come aboard her. I don't have the USCG Master's license to captain this right now, but I'll sign on to be the navigator.

Funny how civilian subs have cropped up in blogs a couple of times this week.

I've been wishing I could afford one of these for years.

Hey I rode the real submarines that can make things go boom for over 13 years while in the Navy.

Plus I got paid for doing it so I made out better than they did by buying it and having to pay for all the maintenance and insurance on the thing.

So, lets see. $78 million to buy. Figure another $2 million to decorate and outfit. Figure $1 million in lobbying costs to get the Navy to back off whining about your submarine. A couple million or so in annual operating costs.

A $300 million fortune in the bank ought to cover it, assuming one didn't want a G5 or something too.

It would be cool to own indeed, plus we could add some fire power in the Persian Gulf if needed. I could get there quickly!

Wow!

I definitely want one of these.

You're not a multibillionaire yet, Tigerhawk? Well...just keep blogging. You'll get there.
