Earthquake in Japan: Ramifications???

So we know there was an earthquake in Japan over the weekend. Now we hear that some amount of radioactive water was "spilled" into the ocean.

This story isn't so unfamiliar, is it? We've heard it before, and the results were not good.

Large earthquake in Japan destroys hundreds of houses, kills a few elderly, causes widespread damage – and causes a nuke reactor to leak a little bit of slightly glowy water into the sea. I’m surprised the US press have not already written a headline to make that one look tame.

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the enviros used this as an opportunity to condemn nuclear power again.
