The Daily China Picture
Along the Li River, rural Chinese still fish with trained cormorants. They fix a ring around the throat of the bird, which allows the cormorant to swallow small fish but not larger ones. Those are for the fisherman.

Very cool. I learned about this practice from "The story of Ping," which I read to my kids, and which was written in the 30s. I had no idea this was still going on.
