Ahmadinejad worries about German guilt

Iran's whack job of a president is sucking up to Germany:

Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad declared Thursday that it was time for Germans to stop feeling guilty for "crimes" of Nazi Germany more than 60 years ago.

In a speech in Zanjan, north-west Iran, carried live on state television, Ahmadinejad did not directly mention the Holocaust, the term for the mass extermination of Jews in Europe during the Nazi German regime.

But he spoke of how "every new-born child in Germany is still regarded as being in debt to a mob of impudent and insatiable Zionists."

If we've learned one thing in the last, oh, eighty years, it's that you can waste a lot of energy worrying too much about German war guilt. They'll shake it off eventually.

Meanwhile, the unreconstructed fool who is the secular face of Iran is denouncing corruption of blood. Does that mean Iran won't authorize or abet the killing of any Israeli children? Oops. It already has.
