Men are simple creatures, Part II

I was not aware that car shows had become so interesting.

I suppose that if I lived in Spain or Mexico, I'd be the kind of guy at the front row at the bullfight. I just can't get enough of The Poorman's flaming you:

"What is really going to put me in my place is if someone - say, for example, you - actually decides that the Bush policy of extralegal, unaccountable torture is worth getting upset about, perhaps even more deserving of disapprobation than Ward Churchill getting tenure, Al Gore’s views on visa policy, Michael Moore’s waistline, or whatever else the leading lights of today’s denatured conservatism think everyone should be gnashing their teeth about this week. (Or last week.) Because right now, America tortures people. You live in a country where the President has declared an effectively permanent state of war, and can, and does, as a matter of policy, and on a global scale, engage in torture. Morally, practically, spiritually, profoundly: this is wrong."

You gonna put your dog in this fight, Hawk?

I responded in the comments over there, several times, but otherwise I am not going to respond. He and his commenters persist in misrepresenting my position, so it is a little tedious.

Frankly, The Poor Man's readers -- at least the commenters -- are quite nasty. We take the gloves off around here from time to time, but over there the majority of the commenters express themselves with great hostility. Andrew himself is not a bad guy, but there aren't many people over there who apear to make an effort to see both sides.

Hey, you guys. No OFF TOPIC stuff.

Babes have always been associated with automobiles and motorcycles. Manufacturers like to drape their products with buxom babes in scanty outfits. It's always gotten my attention.

In my pleistocene youth, almost every automotive repair shop had babes in immodest outfits adorning the walls. I never see that anymore. Too bad. That and National Geographic was all I had for self-directed sex education.

Whoa. Glad to see that Lindsey's apparently eating again.
