Box lunch pomposity
I'm at an investor conference today, and according to custom they serve box lunches -- which are literally a sandwich, chips, fruit and cookies in a box -- so that people can steam right on through the noon hour. The whole thing is very nondescript, notwithstanding the extremely pompous menu describing the contents. The menu lists the little bag of cookies as -- I kid you not -- "a duo of cookies."
