The silly assault weapons ban
I am not a big gun guy -- I do not own a gun but I think they're cool, and that gun nut bumper stickers are funny -- but I have come to realize that the "assault weapons ban" that Clinton passed and Kerry keeps bleating about is nothing but political make-up. Dave Kopel explains why in a four sentence post
at The Corner.
I am told that by simply using an 11 bullet clip, as opposed to a 10 bullet clip, on an 11 mm pistol, you have created an "assault weapon." By that definition, I've fired one (target shooting). And until the lawmakers close the gun show loophole, you can buy all the "banned" stuff on the secondary market.
