Grand Ayatollah al-Sistani steps to the plate

Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani told Iraqis to register to vote in the upcoming polls in January. According to a statement released by his office in An Najaf, the country's leading ayatollah also asked for the formation of committees to aid citizens in voting process, and expressed hope the elections would be held on time and in a free and fair manner.
Amen.
