Eagle ascendant
A few days ago I reported on the family of bald eagles living in a tree a few yards from our Adirondack camp. I took a string of close-up shots of one of the young 'uns, but the parents were more elusive. However, this morning I heard their tell-tale screaming (a family of eagles makes an almost constant racket, and has led more than one member of my family to mutter darkly that perhaps there can be such a thing as "too many eagles"), and followed the screeches to this adult bald eagle, which took flight just after my incursion. Not as close as the pictures of the perched eagle a few days ago, but very cool nonetheless.
