JJ's breasts: Howard Dean and Scrappleface are both right!

Howard Dean is right -- the FCC investigation is silly and, dare we say it, a waste of taxpayer dollars. "In general, I think the FCC does have a role in promoting some reasonable standard of decency," Dean told reporters aboard his campaign plane. "However, considering what's on television these days, I think the FCC is being pretty silly about investigating this." Absolutely. Apparently one of the appealing things about Democratic primary voters (assuming that Dean is still bothering to campaign for them) is that they are untroubled by a nanosecond of semi-frontal female nudity at a resolution so low that real time viewers had to argue about what they thought they saw.

ScrappleFace nails Viacom beautifully: "We produce age-appropriate programming," said an unnamed Viacom spokesman. "Parents must protect their children from violent sports. That's why we broadcast the Super Bowl early Sunday evening, when most children will be at church services or working on homework and getting to bed early. What kind of parents allow their kids to stay up after 8 p.m. on a school night to view violent sports?" Cracked me up.
