Confession I
I think that the "nude Janet" scandal during the Super Bowl's halftime show is hilarious at every level. Yes, I debated whether it had in fact occurred with my fellow viewers last night. Yes, I have checked "it" out on Drudge, and yes, I desperately hope that the FCC prosecutes CBS to the limits of the law. Why? Because, I very much want to see how Clarence Thomas votes when the case gets to the Supreme Court.
Given the rank commercialism and unabashed sexiness -- and sexism -- of professional football in general and the Super Bowl and its advertising in particular, why on Earth are we in such a twist over Janet's breast? It certainly gave us all something to talk about.
