Climate scientists are "stunned"

Even though the warmists claim the science is "settled," they keep getting surprised:

The world's greatest snow-capped peaks, which run in a chain from the Himalayas to Tian Shan on the border of China and Kyrgyzstan, have lost no ice over the last decade, new research shows.

The discovery has stunned scientists, who had believed that around 50bn tonnes of meltwater were being shed each year and not being replaced by new snowfall.

Oops.

A bit like unexpected increases in unemployment.

Don't worry, I'm certain the CRU is "adjusting" the numbers even now and will have data that matches their pre-conceived notions any minute.

I'm sure this is just a rounding error and Darovas will be along in a minute to tell us that the science behind Anthropogenic Global Warming Theory is still sound.

Uh-huh.

Interesting article in Der Spiegel here:

Notable for who's saying it.

Unfortunately, true believers will only double down on the ignorance.

If we've "lost no ice" over the last decade, that just proves that global warming is even worse than previously supposed.

No, really. That's what they'll say - because no matter what, the 'science' is settled.

Non-scientists are always stunned when the data doesn't fit their beliefs.

LOL IPCC projections didn't allow for moisture aloft and prevailing winds. The government of India commissioned its own study group.
Not that I believe they can predict the future. Here's an interesting presentation A Layman’s Guide to Anthropogenic (Man-Made) Global Warming http://www.coyoteblog.com/coyote_blog/2007/07/table-of-conten.html
