Bad luck, according to Barack Obama and Robert Heinlein. Interesting juxtaposition.

The unintentional view of the inner life of the President is interesting indeed. Forever, he's argued, none of our current misfortunate is his fault. Bush, yes. Businesses, yes. Bad luck, yes. But none of the fault goes to Obama or the Democrats. It's pathetic in it's consistency.
On the flip side, they don't think Perry has any credit coming to him for Texas' success during the last eight years either. Give credit, the Democrat talking heads say, to defense spending, the stimulus, the geological fortune of oil, credit anything but don't credit Perry. I guess in the Presidents own view the leader doesn't matter, it's all luck.
