Client Number 9 still sucks the air out of the room
In news that will surprise nobody who has followed Eliot Spitzer's career, Client Number 9 is apparently bumming out Kathleen Parker, the co-host of the "Parker Spitzer" show.
Eliot Spitzer's TV sidekick is so fed up with playing second fiddle to the hooker-loving ex-gov that she's threatening to walk, sources told The Post yesterday.
Washington Post columnist Kathleen Parker actually stormed off the set of the "Parker Spitzer" show during a pre-taping a few weeks ago -- furious that her co-host is continually allowed to take charge of their nightly CNN chat-fest, the insiders said.
Although still fuming, Parker did return to wrap up the segment, they said.
Eliot Spitzer is no garden-variety ego-maniac.

So Parker's gargantuan ego won't permit her to play second fiddle to Spitzer? Is that it?
Parker may be the real star but perhaps the show wants to exploit Spitzer while the audience still wants him, even though he may be nothing but a flash in the pan?
Just speculating what the producers might be thinking.
Parker the star of the show? Huh??? Feeblemind how did you come up with that?
What the producers were thinking was that they would put up a patsy both intellectually and physically against Spitzer who is a total Alpha Male. From the minute this show was created I knew he would eat her up and spit her out - I am surprised this did not happen after the first show.
What I would love to see is Spitzer take on a guy like Sean Hannity. I don't love Hannity, and I wish he would tone it down about four notches; but he would eat Spitzer's lunch with facts and data versus the typical liberal emotion and whinning. If not, Hannity there are easily a thousand other people who would have upheld Conservatism far better than the milquetoast Parker.

How did I come up with that? My significant other is a former news producer who has experience handling prima donnas. I confess my speculation is based on conversations I have had with her.
Feeblemind - have you seen the show? The reason Parker is so pissed off is that he is eating her alive and he does not let her finish a thought. I find it funny that you think it is Parker's "gargantuan" ego that is the basis of this riff. When in reality she is fighting for her own survival, never mind some form of decency in what was supposed to be a forum in which the two were to share ideas and thoughts - not get eaten alive. CNN was trying to create a less toxic form of what Fox has on every night or what CNN formerly had on with Tucker Carlson and Paul Begala. Either way the show sucks and they could not have picked a less prepared counter to Spitzer; unless of course the producers from CNN wanted to do exactly what is happening - Liberal thought leader running circles around rube Republican (which by its dismal ratings shows that few people believe what they are saying or that the two personalities are so off-putting that no one watches.)
