Battlestar Galactica on sale
Lest there was any doubt that I'm a total geek, I consider it my bounden duty to link to Amazon's huge sale on the complete series of Battlestar Galactica. I bought it because my individual disks are hither and yon, and it is high time I watched it all the way through from beginning to end. It is really, really, good.

, atIt was a great series. To bad the last episode was so disappointing. Number Six and Baltar walking off as angels?

No. It was not that great a series. It was too confusing and too psycho-babbly with the programmed Cylons and Starbuck's visions, etc. Some highlights were interesting.
The original series, only one season long, was ingenius; before they found earth and the Northern Alliance stupidity (and before Apollo becomes "angelic" or whatever that white uniform meant). When Starbuck goes up against the Cylons to defend the babes on the forest planet - cool.
[This Baltar was better than the last one although when he became a cult leader it was awkward. But this Commander Cain was lousy; Lloyd Bridges in the original was awesome. And this mythos was too convoluted.]
