The TSA has gone insane

This is criminally stupid in several different respects. Never mind the panty bomber, who got on in Amsterdam. This week alone we had the man-made disaster in Newark and now they arrest Michael Yon because he would not answer questions irrelevant to the security of the aircraft.

Unlike random disorganized agglomerations of individual humans, second rate bureaucracies are easily panicked.

If you think this harassment of Yon was "stupid" you aren't connecting the dots. This was a clearly planned action against an individual who has been critical of the TSA previously. The TSA has nothing to do with airline security and everything to do with converting the traveling public into sheep. Wait until the TSA is organized by Andy Stern and it is just another bunch of SEIU goons. What will it take for you to grasp that our current government is the enemy of your wealth and your liberty? Wasn't the treatment your industry received in the allocation of the pounds of flesh to be taken to construct the state takeover of health care enough to make the scales fall from your eyes as to what these people want to do to us?

Yes, it was, Locker Room, but I prefer living in a state of optimistic delusion. It is what gets me through the day.

I'd be the last to defend the TSA, but they're off the hook on this one. From Yon's Facebook page:

"There is some confusion about who arrested me. TSA was not involved. The Customs people (CBP) were the actors who handcuffed me"

I was a little puzzled by the whole affair, as (AFAIK) the TSA does not have the authority or means to arrest anyone.

One shouldn't be surprised by the treatment of Yon. Sure, he's a citizen, but any legal immigrant to America can tell you a story like this. Of course Americans don't want to hear about them or believe they're the result of anything more than a few bad apples, but to foreigners, the hypocrisy manifest between our stated values and the way they are treated is stark.

In protest of this hypocrisy and maltreatment, the foreign population of the US has dwindled to practically nothing in recent years.
