R.I.P. Wayman Tisdale

Three-time All-American college basketball player Wayman Tisdale died today in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Tisdale was 44 years old, and had been ill with cancer for the last two years.

In addition to having had an outstanding basketball career, Tisdale was an accomplished jazz musician, and recorded eight albums.

In Oklahoma, he was a favorite son, and the state senate had a moment of silence this morning.

Wayman was one of my favorite college players. He was dominating. That lefty fallaway was unstoppable.

He also had a fine NBA career and to top it off was a great person. The fact that he was successful in many arenas speaks volumes about his character.

He will be missed. May God rest his soul.
