Where's Hillary?

There's a rumor going around that the White House is keeping Secretary of State Clinton off the Sunday talk shows in favor of David Axelrod. I no longer routinely watch the Sunday shows as I once did -- although David Gregory has gotten me interested in "Meet The Press" for the first time in years -- so I have not noticed whether Hillary has been on. The heat in the administration's denial (see the update to this post) makes me wonder, though, if the rumor might be true.

Anyway, we will know when the Clintons decide they are being dissed because Bill will say something subtle yet unmistakably snarky about the White House. That will be your first reliable clue that Barack Obama's popularity has crested.

I agree about David Gregory. He does a fantastic job on the show. Really smart guy.

Gone by Labor Day said Niall Ferguson in December. I guess when you're beat up you make lousy decisions.

But, isn't this pushing Rule No. 5 a bit far?

Stephen Green does the work over on PJTV, if you catch his show, which is regrettably hard to find on its own.
