The interview
If you had a professional position in Lansing, Michigan, that indirectly held you accountable for ongoing job losses in Detroit, wouldn't you consider taking a lifetime appointment in Washington, D.C.?

Gov. Granholm was a classmate of mine in law school. She did not strike me as one of class's leading lights. I'm not saying she's as dumb as Harriet Miers, but she isn't SCOTUS material, IMO.
Among the realistic possibilities, I greatly prefer Kagan.
