The reign in Spain, part dos

Douglas Feith responds to the Spanish court considering an indictment of him and 5 other Bush administration lawyers in Friday's Wall Street Journal.

I agree with him that this "is not a left-versus-right political issue," but has to do with U.S. sovereignty. Are we really at a point that unhappy U.S. citizens must rely on foreign courts for recourse to misdeeds (perceived or actual) by our own officials?

It is more correct to say, that Feith and you do not see it as a left-and-right issue. People who believe in the universal jurisdiction of courts and international law's power over elected officials (who are more to be found on the left than on the right) may differ.

Can we also indict the perfidious Spaniards whose ancestors were responsible for genocide in Central and South America and recapture the wealth they stole from innocent autocthanes?

Time to ask Dear Leader to weigh in on this matter.
Also, it would be a good idea to figure out a way to get the Supreme Court to make a ruling. Time to smoke out this ridiculous meddling by foreign jurists.

Meddlin by foreign jurists - Scotus?

Isn't it Justice Kennedy who thinks we should include in his rulings laws other than those in the US.

Koh, who has been recommended to be State's legal advisor, is an Internationalist.
