Attention foreign leaders

If you are going to visit the White House, prepare to be embarrassed in some minor way that will make headlines in your home country. At least, of course, if you allow a free press.

And after they draw and quarter Ed Liddy this morning (what a freak show) would the government consider giving up THEIR (anal) retention bonuses?

Do you hear me Barney.....?

You're moving up in the world--citing even whackier blogs.

Funny this tool mentions the Irish PM, as an interesting phenom this St. Patricks Day: Obama's the most popular US President in Ireland since JFK. Juxtaposition is the HBO's The Wire is the popular US TV show, ever, in Ireland. U. of Dublin is even doing a journal article on The Wire's popularity. Not your cup of tea.

PS I paid "homage" to Ron Silver.

I have seen this happen in person. It is not pretty.

Bummer about the WH teleprompter, but I think its pretty pathetic for anyone to be so unfamiliar with the words they are supposed to speak that they can make this error. For a national leader to rely so completely on outside writers that they apparently make no effort to learn the speech in advance, well it makes one wonder who is really in charge. You could slip anything in there and it would come out the other end.

Chambers ... popularity has nothing to do with competence or leadership. So far, your guy has been a train wreck. We can only hope for change next November with mid-term elections, and for an opportunity to pick up the pieces.

For a guy that's supposed to be so bright, and articulate, one wonders why he can't speak without the aid of the teleprompter. Y'all skewered Bush for it, let's see Obama handles himself. I suspect he'd look like a complete dolt.

.....I just found out the teleprompter is a model HAL 9000.

Does that mean anything........?

OK, I'll bite. I've read this comment a few times and I know this is supposed to be critical in some way, but for the life of me I cannot understand the dig. Heck, to me the sentences don't even make any sort of sense. What does the popularity of Obama in Ireland have to do with his inability to speak extemporaneously? What does the Wire have to do with this at all? Why is this not TH's "cup of tea"? For that matter, why is Ace of Spades "wacky"?
