Chicago by cell phone
I walked from the Hyatt Regency to the vicinity of the Sears Tower this afternoon, and snapped a couple of iconic shots on my cell phone. Yes, the Daley Center fountain is green on St. Patrick's Day...
A friend of mine noted that the White House fountain also was green, and wondered whether the idea had come with the new administration from Chicago. More diligent researchers than I are invited to report the answer.
And, of course, Sears.
Chicago knowledge quiz: Which side was I standing on? Your choices are north, south, east, or west.

, atNorth side, as the buildings across the street are bathed in sunlight coming from behind the subject building.
, atTough to tell without a time of photo. It could be the west side, as the sky is whiter on the right (south?) side. But if it was taken late in the day you could have been on the north side.
, atChicago the WINDY CITY run by a whole bunch of dirty lying liberal demacratic windbags like RICHARD DAILY and the name CHICAGO come from a indian word meaning BAD SMELL scouldnt be more approprate
