You either like the Palins or you don't. I do. Here's a nice picture taken yesterday, after Todd Palin and his teammate finished 6th in a 2000 mile snowmobile race through the heart of Alaska.

He is one lucky man. :)
Meanwhile, Andrew Sullivan is demanding an investigation.

Don't like her; don't mind him. Maybe because his politics seem more secondary to who he is, despite being even more Neandertal than hers.

A sincere question TH: why do you like the Palins?
Do you think she is qualified to be our nation's vice president?

Is she qualified to be Vice President? She is certainly well within the range of qualifications considered historically acceptable for Vice President, yes. Absolutely. There were numerous less or equally qualified people both nominated for and elected to the vice presidency in the last 100 years alone. No, she is not my first choice for president next time around and I do not know whether she will ever be. But I smile when I see her, and I think she is a real spark plug for conservatives.
, atHey Brian, to dislike a comely woman because of her politics is way beyond pathetic.
, atTo like her because she is comely instead of her politics is way beyond pathetic. It's downright dangerous.

I think that's a bit strong. It may be lame, but it is hardly "downright dangerous."
, atSomeone is still questioning Palin's qualifications when Obama openly ridicules his own V.P. in last week's press conference? How funny.
, atLame? It's bipartisan, in the best sense of the word!

"Do you think she is qualified to be our nation's vice president?"
She had accomplished more in her political career than the Democrat *presidential* candidate.
Their reaction to Sarah Palin reveals many of the left to be out-in-the-open haters. We will see what she can do in 2012. Will the left hate her for her wardrobe and spread more lies, or will they debate her on the issues? Only time will tell, but as others have said, to demean her level of experience makes a laughing stock out of the current "Community Organizer in Chief".

I've thought occasionally about TH's question regarding why the left can't stand Palin. Putting myself in the left category for these purposes, I'd say it's her arrogant ignorance that makes her so similar to the first-term George W. Bush (some of his arrogance now seems beaten out of him, at far greater cost to the rest of us).
I see a similarity to the ol' George Allen before he self-destructed, and a contrast to Mike Huckabee. Huck may have even worse politics than Palin, but he doesn't extrude this easy self-righteousness and inability to acknowledge a mistake. He's the dangerous one, because he probably is a nice guy on a personal level.

We must be looking at two different women. But I guess such a perceptual difference is a good example of "polarizing."

As I understand it, it's a 2,000 mile snowmobile race known as The Iron Dog. But it's not a dog race- ie, the Itiderod. Way too confusing for this flatlander. Of course none of this detracts from Todd's feat.
, atI bet those terrified of Palin's 'politics' have no idea what her actual 'politics' are, except the fact she almost tripped Hussy on the way to the White House. That's her only 'crime'.

"Arrogant Ignornce?' You mean, sort of like expecting congress to rubber-stamp an 1000-page bill deemed so "urgent" that the Messiah-in-Chief didn't give anyone the time to even read it? (Transparency, anyone???) Yet he somehow had the time to jet off to Chicago with the missus for the weekend. Wonder how many more times he can respond to a serious question with some sort of lame joke--considered part of his "charm", I suppose--or blame Bush for his own incompetence. Palin isn't qualified to be president---yet. But neither is Obama. We're about to see that fully demonstrated--with painful consequences.

Palin had to jump from doing regional dinner theater to Broadway. She was partly successful. She's got natural talent at "connecting." She has plenty of time to develop into a star.
There was a lot of class and gender bias in the way MSM reacted to Palin, especially by folks like Maureen Dowd and Peggy Noonan. If only Sarah had an Ivy League degree ...
Despite all the coverage, Palin is still a mystery to me. While she's religious, I want to believe it doesn't dictate her politics ... that she's pragmatic. I also want to believe that she's actually smart and has gravitas. During the election, the press didn't want to explore that. They preferred to play her as a caricature.
As a national candidate she has obvious appeal to segments of the Republican party, but she'll fail as a candidate unless she can get out of the box MSM put her in. Republicans can't win unless they win back small "l" libertarians and a lot of independent voters.
