News you can use: Calories burned doing normal things
Here are the calories you burn doing ordinary things. Sadly, there are no numbers for "blogging," which would be handy information for me to have. Since blogging has probably cut into my exercise time more than anything else, I should probably do less of it for that reason, among others. But then I would be letting you, our loyal readers, down!

I note that playing with kids is nearly the same as low-impact aerobics ... maybe parents should spend some time each day playing with their kids; it's a twofer.

My sister sent me that link this morning. Followed the links to get my baseline for how many calories I burn in a typical day. I need to lose weight, and I've got a deadline. My sister is getting married in October, and I'm going to be one of the bridesmaids....

Who would've thought? Not me....at least until 37.
