George Bush has cooled the planet!
This is bound to irritate all the right people: "Earth has cooled since Bush took office". If I were a Bush-hater, I would argue that the cooling results from the sand and debris that we have kicked up in Iraq and Afghanistan, which reflects solar energy back into outer space. It sounds stupid, but a lot of people would believe it.
More here (through last January):
Vastly more here, including more recent data and a somewhat different perspective.
MORE: Tim Lambert says that the story was tragically and fatally garbled, and that the reporter who wrote it did not understand the study. Smarter people than me should read through the links and see if they agree.

I'd like to see an analysis of temperature over time to be a companion to this.
(Have I already said that?)

Actually the New York Times above-the-fold headline will read:
BUSH CAUSES CLIMATE CHANGE!!!
Get with it, TH!!
Now that the evidence seems to show that we are cooling rather than warming, it is politically incorrect to use the term "warming" in reference to the climate.
"Climate Change" allows the various entities that seek to enrich themselves politically or monetarily from the weather to continue their media indoctrination REGARDLESS of the actual weather conditions.

I am certain that if the Democratic electees who, to paraphrase HL Mencken, still have the "taste of boot polish" in their mouths, develop cold feet....then Mr. Soros and his ilk will provide the appropriate combustables to warm them.

Sorry, the above is the wrong post for this item...my "Post a Comment" window didn't cooperate!!
, atI believe the update belongs with the earlier "Greenhouse gases lead to ice age?" post. It has nothing to do with this one.
