Payback time?
For years, thuggish cops arrested civil rights protesters and leftist agitators because of the content of their speech. That was bad, but not, it seems, so bad that Barack Obama's supporters will object when it goes the other way.
The question, of course, is whether this video is an accurate depiction of the event, or a cleverly edited distortion. Did the arrested dude do anything other than waltz into the rally wearing the McCain shirt? Was the cameraman an accomplice? And why are the rude people slamming the video's YouTube comments such idiots? Whatever one thinks of the crowd's response -- not exactly "52 to 48 with love" -- it is a bit hard to blame President-elect Obama for this one. The Philly cops, maybe, but not Barack Obama.
