Clinton sets the table
Hillary Rodham Clinton's name will be placed in nomination along with nominee-in-waiting Barack Obama at the Democratic convention in Denver, an emblematic move intended to unite the party after a divisive primary fight. This seems to me a remarkable turn of events, and if I was Obama I would not be sleeping well. The Clintons are like a slasher flick; the monster may look dead but don't turn your back until the credits have rolled, cause its coming back at you.
The arrangement — which the rivals-turned-allies agreed to after weeks of negotiations — is intended to help the Democratic Party heal after a bruising primary while mollifying still-disgruntled Clinton backers and acknowledging the former first lady's groundbreaking presidential run.
"I am convinced that honoring Senator Clinton's historic campaign in this way will help us celebrate this defining moment in our history and bring the party together in a strong united fashion," Obama, an Illinois senator, said in a joint statement.
Next I predict we may start to again hear whisperings about the "disenfranchised" Florida and Michigan primary voters and things could move on from there. Then suppose a couple of delegates publicly flip back to Hillary, while negative stories about Obama start to circulate again (from where do you suppose). The Obama campaign could lose control of the situation pretty quickly. By allowing this much, it looks as though they may have already.
By the way, I enjoyed this little editorial insertion by the AP embedded in the story (empasis added):
Democrats will officially nominate Obama at the convention but the state delegations will do a traditional role call for his vanquished opponent as well. This is probably what will come to pass, but the AP's declaring it with certainty makes me wonder.

I still have the mental picture of Ms. Clinton as a hostage taker, not a mad slasher. "Give me the VP nomination, or the party gets it!"

Hillie and her operatives have known for years that the system was designed to ensure that the party didn't do something dumb and they appear to be doing just that.
I have long believed that Hillie has some cards to play including all the raw FBI files that she stole in the early 90s. There are super-delegates being visited as we speak and they are being reminded (1) Hussein can't win, (2) your honey on the side or the land deal with the gangster could become public. and (3) here's a look at Michelle's whitey tape that McCain will release within hours after Hussein's nomination.
Never, never, never underestimate the sleaze of the Clintons. Remember, Hussein is not the only one with strong ties to the Chicago machines,
obama already called for the seating of the full delegations from florida and michigan.

The Hildabeast should ask these questions when she stands for her speech.
Why has Obama not been vetted?

Obama is going to lose this election if he can't even win his convention.
