Good news from Iraq: American casualties in March
Not that you would have noticed from a casual perusal of the mainstream media, but it is the 9th of March and only two American soldiers have died in Iraq this month. Yes, it is far too early to call a trend and other blah-blah, but it is wonderful news nonetheless.
Suppose the last American soldier dies in Iraq in, say, July 2008. Would President Obama consider the new situation and back away from his pledge to pull us out and renounce permanent bases? One would hope so, but his campaign is adamant that he would not.
