Damn

It's kind of sad to watch Ron Paul'sunfolding demise. While I disagree with him about Iraq, monetary policy and immigration, he and his following brought something good to the election: an enthusiastic, outspoken and genuine defense of individual liberties and smaller government. There aren't any other candidates who come close.

The Paulistas have gone awfully quiet. I wonder if they will "go to the polls with the candidate they've got" or attach their quasi-religious devotion to someone else. They and the Chardonnay crowd sometimes forget that the primaries do function, however inconveniently, as a vetting period.

Or just a convenient time to exhibit your rectitude by getting the vapors.

And he's getting his a$$ handed to him in the FNC SC debate right now - from other candidates, and from the moderators after Paul gave a really crazy answer about the Iran/Straits of Hormuz incident...
