Oh. Those left-wing professors.
Villanova professor Robert Moranto writes in the Washington Post about the isolation of conservatives in the academy. It is a subject about which I myself have written [link fixed] on many previous occasions.

TH, your "written" link links back to the WaPo article, not to one of your postings.
Good article and good point. The left-wing professoriate is so convinced of the inherent goodness of their positions, and the inherent evil of those who disagree with them, that the discussion is almost religious.
This is ironic in view of the atheistic/agnostic position that many or most of them take. (Some of my best friends, myself included, are agnostic.)
Many in the left-wing professoriate demonize Christians, especially Evangelicals and Fundamentalists, without having ever met one.

Thanks, FB. Fixed.
Professors, who fancy themselves as being less conventional than the Great Unwashed, are, in the end, very conventional. They have to be. Otherwise they will not get tenure.

Yeah, but the most astonishing part of the article was that the author considers Brookings to be "centrist"!

Perhaps the whole tenure thing is part of the problem.

Just yesterday I was at PU at a conference where one of the panelists said, "I don't know any Republicans"
