The Milka Duno conundrum

It seems to me that it is almost impossible to post a picture of Milka Duno, a Venezuelan woman who earned a position in the line-up at Indianapolis this afternoon, without coming off as sexist in one way or another. Am I sexist because it certainly appears that I'm posting the picture for, er, reasons that have nothing to do with her driving ability? Or is it sexist because I'm implying that she must not have driving ability? It's a no-win situation. Oh, well.

Milka Duno

Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines!

It certainly isn't sexist to note that as a Venezuelan, her best opportunities exist only outside of her home country.

As for being in the Indy line-up, there's only one way to get there. She earned it. May all 33 drivers have a great race today.

Sexist? Fergeddaboudit! Women are God's most sublime creation. They should be put on a pedestal from time to time.

BTW, (From the Jerusalem Post):

"Speaking to an Arab affairs expert on the reports that Islamic Jihad is threatening to send scores of women suicide bombers to blow themselves up near IDF troops if Israel starts an operation on the ground in Gaza, she enquired what awaited such women in heaven, the equivalent of the notorious 72 virgins ready to serve the male shahids. The answer: dwarves who will serve them."

Hmmm, dwarves...

Who cares why you posted it?

I'm just glad you did. :)

I think Milka's hot, and I'm a straight female. I'm tired of American sports stereotypes of women athletes being 'butch' and I applaud the Anna Kournikovas and Danika Patricks and other "girly girls" who are also excellent in a sport. We girls drooled over hot, sexy male race drivers for decades--you guys deserve a chance to drool, too. I've also lived and traveled in South America, where they not only prize female beauty, they EXPECT it. So Milka, you go girl!

Unfortunately for Milka, she only went 66 laps. But she is hot.

There were three women that qualified for the race and I know two of them could be classed as hotties and I don't know about the third.

But then you gotta wonder about a hottie who handles a stick shift well and wants to be known as the fastest girl alive LOL.

Interesting factoid from Wikipedia, if you can believe anything posted there; It seems that Princeton Reunions is the second biggest beer order in the country behind the Indy 500.

Four days until the P-rade.
