What an amazing speech. Isn't YouTube great? Too bad nobody recorded the Gettysburg Address.

You should have had the experience of hearing it simultaneous with the events that called it forth. It was an oracle.

The sole image of Lincoln at the Gettysburg cemetary dedication is viewable at

It was enlarged from a glass plate negative showing a bunch of boys milling in the forground in front of the speaker's platform, and it wasn't until 1952 that an archivist identified Lincoln seated among the dignitaries in the background.
